Younus is an Information Technology guru holding a BSc. in Computer Science from Wits University and has been active in the Internet of Things for more than thirty-five years. He has vast experience and skills, and continues to work in diverse environments. Younus was involved in the development and success of the HP i community project launched in partnership with President Thabo Mbeki at the United Nations World Summit on Sustainable Development during 2002. Younus was chosen to implement the United Nations e Schools project launched in Uganda. Younus is a passionate proponent of Sustainable Development, Linux and Open Source Software. Younus has worked with Mark Shuttleworth on various projects including the Hewlett Packard /Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) /Shuttleworth Foundation Go Open Source project and SABC Go Open TV series. He has fourteen years experience doing ICT for Mogalakwena Local Municipality.
